Honestly, I took the picture earlier when the challenge was issued, so technically, I DID what I was told. I just didn't have the time to post until now. RK tagged me. Essentially the idea was: take a picture of yourself right now, no touch ups, no primping, etc...now--go! Before you change your mind.
Shoot. I got nothing to hide! (That's why all my shots are from the neck up! ha!)
So here it is:
Clearly I need a haircut. Or at least a shampoo! The kids were napping, so I didn't get an awesome picture like RK did, but there you have it. The real me. When the kids are asleep, 8 (8.5? 9?) out of 10 times you'll find me in the dining room sidled up to this computer armoire reading, writing, passing the time.
I'm not proud. When I am not doing laundry--actually, ok, I'll admit,I don't typically do tons of chores when the kids are asleep because Rainer, in particular, wakes easily. I do chores slap-dash in the morning when Rainer is still asleep (but when it's OK if he wakes up being MORNING and all), and on the weekends or in the evenings.
All those lists and post-its? Stuff I need to do, want to get, have to remember.
My brain is a sieve. And daily I add to my lists, try to cross things off, occasionally consolidate.
Recently a lot more has been added to my lists, but that's a story for another time. Alex is at the Dad's group, the kids are sleeping, and I am having a glass of wine. I don't feel like doing much of anything other than bringing that glass of wine up to my mouth over and over again. Although I might work on the latchhook I am making Georgia.
I swear, ONE day I will have something more interesting to talk about. I really do have a lot swimming around my brain these days. Believe it?
By the way: TAG! You're it. Of COURSE I mean you! Now take a picture of yourself NOW and post it. Let me know if you do!
(World's laziest tagger, huzzah!)

Goooooahhhhhgeeeeuuusss! (Sound it out, if you gotta. :) Excuses aside... I'd be pleased to look that good when caught unaware. My only saving grace was the fact that I'm no good at one-handed self-picture taking and I hit the button before I looked at the camera. So really, it's just proof of my ineptness. Ha!
Oh, and I do believe you have some good stuff in that brain, really good I bet. I have some too, but it's so far down the priority list.

I'm in. And how is it you look just the same as you did back in college, even with 2 kids and zero sleep?
