Things I Like Right Now
Barry Obama! & the fact that Spidey would make a good president.
Doogie Howser, sorry Neil Patrick Harris, on Sesame Street as the Shoe Fairy. How did I not realize what a cutie-pie he was until now? Remember Wanda and Doogie Bear?
The fact that the three of us have been up, dressed, and fed since 8am. All three things. Since EIGHT am. OK...I am not showered...but I DID clean myself up a bit. I was going to get up extra early to shower, but then Rainer slept an extra hour and Georgia woke up an hour early (of course) and well...so what? I am happy to have a reason to get dressed on a rainy day though...our friends Dawn and Calista are going to stop by later this morning.
Looking forward to leftover Thai Peanut Chicken for lunch that my sister made when she was here.
This blog. And the connection it brings me to other adults, my family, the outside world. Even though I should give myself a break about not posting all the time.
Georgia WALKING over to me to see why her brother is crying and then peering up at us over my knees, holding my hand, as if to say "I need your love too."
Did you catch that? Georgia walking. Walking. Just before 23 months. I mean, they are very "first-step" in nature and the most I have seen is 8 steps. But that counts, right? And you should see her with the walker...clear across the room! Wobbly falling-down steps, but she's doing it...on her own terms...like I should have realized she would. The pip.

WALKING!!!! YAHOOOOOO Give her a big high five for me. -mo

yay Georgia! Of course she had to start walking so she could come over and poke her brother, crazy lady.

Yay, you are blogging again! I kinda stopped checking for awhile! *blushes* Look at all these posts to read, wow! You go momma!
Sounds like your birth went well and babymooning is going nicely. Rainer is an absolute doll! I love his BOYness! You are doing a fab job nursing him and tending to G. I swear I spent Sean's first year of life constantly saying "get off your brother" to Aidan. Having kiddos under 2 yrs apart is tough, but it goes by quickly and then they are the best of buds.
If you need positive reinforcment for BFing, don't forget about your local LLL!
And lastly, I am so proud of G for walking!!!! WOOT WOOT! Can't wait to see the videos!

Yay for walking! I see that a little sibling rivalry is already inspiring her.
This is funny, because Evan also started walking when Cal was 2 weeks old. What a coincidence!

Happy walking to Georgia. I just read your blog for the first time today. Recommended from Claire. I am loving it. I could marinate in stories of babies and toddlers all day. Two of my closest friends are preggers and due anyday with our dear Claire due a long way off. One of my friends has a child with special needs and it has been a revelation of patience and kindness to interact with her and learn that her milestones have their own magic. I remember when she first walked at 2 1/2 years old. We just cried and cried. She was in diapers until 5 years old and still has issues...but she's amazing in so many other ways that I take for granted in other children. Well, I won't write a novel. But I'm happy to have been shown the path to your blog. I look forward to watching G and R sprout up.

Yay, G! Bring on the toddler mischief!!
And up and dressed by 8? I can't manage that, and I only have to dress myself.
Did you know that Neil Patrick Harris is the one and only 'heart throb' I ever wrote a soppy pre-teen fan letter to? It's true.
Oh, and have you seen Dr. Horrible's Sing a Long Blog?
