An extremely generous guess

That would be 5 minutes.

We made it out of the house. I bundled them all up, I remembered socks for myself even. It started out well, I even had an adult conversation with one of the neighbors for a minute. The air was brisk, sure, but it felt good. Rainer screamed while I bundled him, but settled as soon as we started walking. But then I realizes we were missing the hat Georgia had been wearing, and she had kicked off a shoe. I was determined though and decided we'd find them on the way home. That's when I realized she was really uncomfortable in our double stroller. And then she started screaming. SCREAMING. I tried re-adjusting the stupid thing, but if it's meant to be readjusted (which I don't know because Alex put the thing together) I couldn't figure out how to do it. Not on the side of the road while Georgia screamed and her hands turned red in the cold. So home we came. I suppose I am one step closer to independence, but also one step closer to the grave. If she doesn't drive me nuts one of the GD baby gadgets WILL. How hard can they make these friggin' slings and strollers and carriers? Arghhhhhh. Is it naptime yet?

At least I can say I made an effort. Guilt be damned.

Note to self: Dumb idea to bring those limited addition peppermint Oreos into the house. You have a weakness.

I love reading your blogs. I feel for you. When my daughter with DS was born my oldest was 2 and I was lucky because he was always and angel. I had my third child when my daughter was 4 and I feel like I have twins most days. My youngest is 2 now and my daughter is 6 but all they want to do is fight or copy the bad things each of them do. Thank god for school days. Don't worry it will get better.

They have peppermint Oreos? Uh-oh.

Hey, at least you tried. That's more than I would have done in your situation, in the cold. Go, you!

You'll get the hang of the contraptions, too. Maybe you should try pushing them around in the house for a while. :) I'm not kidding when I say that I spent the first three months of Cal's life pushing him in the stroller in circles on our driveway while his brothers played nearby. Not great scenery, but he liked the movement. But, it was springtime. You are decidedly at a disadvantage!

It takes time, but one day you will be outside for longer than it took to get them dressed to go outside. You will. Someday. I think I excitedly called my husband at work the day I got snow pants and snow boots on them all in under an hour :)

Honestly, I did read the post, but I forgot everything after I read "peppermint Oreos."

Those peppermint oreos are made by the devil!!
